Bharat Mukti Morcha Flags hit Panjim over Vanxim mulnivasi v/s bamon videshi struggle

Today September 27, 2011 was historic day in the life of struggle of mulnivasis in Goa. For the first time Bharat Mukti Morcha flags were bravely unfurled in the capital city of Goa: Panjim. Bharat Mukti Morcha team intervened to confront brahmanical ploy to OBC people with regard to Golf tourism in Vanxim island in Tiswadi taluka.

Bamon Archbishop of Goa Felipe Neri Ferrao has sold Vanxim island to another Bamon Mahendra Gaunekar. Gaunekar then sold the same to corporate Ozone group for 50 crores on record. Mulnivasis – mostly OBCs and those converted to Christianity from OBCs are facing the threat of Displacement.

Villagers had been agitating for the past one year under the banner of Ilha de Vanxim Association. In the course of struggle they came in contact with Bharat Mukti Morcha and very soon its unit got set up in on this island. Brahmanical system got panicked.

Today again the panic brahmanical system poured huge amount of cash and mobilized nearby island OBC people to fight in favour of displacement of OBC people of Vanxim island. The plot is to get OBC to fight against each other.

A news article appeared in the local daily The Navhind Times on 24^th September 2011 titled  “Vanxim Islanders stand firm against the resort”. This article caused panic to the bamons behind the conspiracy to evict Vanxim islanders and get it declared as eco-tourism zone. (Currently Vanxim is eco-sensitive zone due to lush green mangroves and marshy paddy fields. Paddy fields are in uncultivable state due to brahmanical State of Goa neglected to repair the breach of bunds and allowed salty water to sip in.) Close aides of Chief Minister Bamon Digambar Kamat  and Bamon Mahendra Gaunekar met urgently the same night of 24^th September 2011 till 1.00 am at the residence e of local MLA  Madkaikar– victim of Poona Pact of 1932 – and conspired to create rift amongst Mulnivasi of the surrounding island.

As per the plan today around 300 OBC people was mobilized by paying Rs.500/- each from Divar, Malar, Narva and few from Vanxim and were brought to the headquarters of Town and Country planning department, Panjim. Bharat Mukti Morcha Activists confronted the crowd with their flags portraying the symbols of Bali Raja, Ashoka and flame of revolution. Posters of Bharat Mukti Morcha’s September 01 rally in Delhi was displayed publicly. Bharat Mukti Morcha Mahila Aghadi president Maggie Silveira and Goa State Convenor Sebastian Rodrigues addressed the press. They resolved to intensify the struggle even further and urged mulnivasi people from all over India including those trapped in brahmanical conspiracy from Malar and Divar to realize their plight and join Bharat Mukti Morcha.

The ongoing struggle in Vanxim has hit the Goa’s Bamon system very badly. Bamons in Goa have pressed panic buttons and that’s why flow of money is resorted to. Bharat Mukti Morcha represents genuine interests of Goa’s Mulnivasi people and will further intensify the agitation. The agitation is already taken serious note of by Bharat Mukti Morcha’s National President Waman Meshram in front of whom India’s brahmanical system trembles.

Brahmanical system through local MLA Madkarkar and 7 ministers of Goa who are paid in this project are trying iits level best to make mulnivasis of Vanxim as captives of Bamons by luring them into money, liquor and other vices so that they can made landless and homeless.

Today OBCs from Malar, Divar, Narva who came to Panjim by accepting Rs.500/- proved very clearly that they have lost their self respect and dignity. They forgot the truth that it is the hard painful toil of their ancestors that has handed over Vanxim to the current generation and they are only their custodians. They fell prey to the brahmanical conspiracy. Those who got their self-respect re-kindled within them left the venue and dissociated themselves after being confronted by Bharat Mukti Morcha activists. Panchayat members too are total victims of Poona pact, 1932 as they were paid by Bamons to get OBCs out in order to realize the intentions of bamons. This struggle is a freedom struggle in order to overthrow the Bamon raj in Goa that is responsible to get Vanxim mulnivasis to the brink of harassment and bondage. Bharat Mukti Morcha is already working in this direction and has already taken number of steps like publishing of pamphlets and organizing meeting to expose role of Bamons including that of Archbishop of Goa Felipe Neri Ferrao and Mahendra Gaunekar. Archbishop has not only sold the land but also the water bodies. Ozone group will never succeed in their plans of changing the name of Vanxim into Ozone Island. If they push on then Baman raj in Goa will come to an end sooner due to the efforts of Bharat Mukti Morcha.

Today Chief Town planner was paying the way to Bamons when he suggested to organize the gram sabha and take decision. This is in a situation wherein resolution after resolution of the Malar panchayat are against golf course project in Vanxim right from 2003. It looks that Chief Town planner is keen to attract ire of the mulnivasi organizations. It will be wise on his part to behave properly in this matter and stop being lighthouse for Bamons. The days of Baman raj are numbered and due the agitation for liberation by Bharat Mukti morcha. Perhaps Chief town planner want to get washed in the gutter with bamons when mulnivasis rise up. That day is fast approaching.

Amrut Volvoikar, vice-president of Vanxim unit of Bharat Mukti Morcha said “this project should not come up in Vanxim. Maggie Silveira declared that Vanxim is for Vanshikars(Mulnivasis)  and not for Gaunekars (Bamons).

Indian National Congress President Sonia Gandhi reportedly has strong backing to this project of displacing Mulnivasis in Vanxim. Vanxim is small island but due to struggle against Baman raj it has acquired special place in the history that children will study in future. ‘Vanxim ganv keddo, and nanv keddem!’

As we have got detail information that (TCP) Town and Country Planning is getting to designate Vanxim island for Eco-tourism our Ilha de Vanxim Association objects the Eco-tourism project, which strongly supported by Malar Panchayat. We have got information that Panchayat, local MLA, and Mahendra Gaunekar are pushing forward this so-called Eco-tourism project.


We at Vanxim had very successful three mega meetings, and people of different places of Goa participated for the same to strongly object the Golf Course/Casinos/Private Marinas/Gambling/Spa/Luxury villas/Prostitution etc.


On 10/1/2011 we gave these very objection to your office, for your quick reference, we Ilha de Vanxi Association are forwarding the same to you.


Here the mega project objection was raised right through the Panchayat. We strongly objected any projects at Vanxim island at our Gram Sabha.


Inspite of these very objection raised by our Association (also in writing etc) who is Sarpanch (Ex/ Tulsidas Kundaikar) local MLA and Mahendra Gaunekar to decide for our Vanxim village?


Our ancestors kept our island as a treasure. It is more than a gold mine.


Our Ilha de Vanxim Association, proudly and intensely look forward to respect our ancestors and everything that belongs to Vanxim.


Our Vanxim island is of Vanshikars and not of Gaunekars.

Brahmanical conspiracy behind Biometric cards

A biometric identity also known as Aadhaar card is similar to existing cards but will also contain biometric information such as photographs, all hand finger prints and images of the iris of the eye which are unique to each person. The data will be centrally stored on high capacity computer “Silas” in Delhi and information of all the cards will be available on the tip of finger. Those who rule will have access to this information on computer buttons and can be shared with surveillance agencies and business houses. Data from Voter’s card, MNERGA Job card, Driving license, PAN card, Passport, Ration card, BPL/APL/Antodya card are integrated on this card.
Advantages told by Indian Government agencies:  (1) Needed to make poor visible. Cards will be used to provide service.                (2) Cards will curb corruption in Public Distribution System (PDS) and National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS).


Disadvantages expected:  (1) Tracking of individual becomes easy. Privacy is totally violated. Information is open for sharing            (2) It will only guarantee identity; not rights, benefits, and entitlements. This negates the promotional talk of needing for service to the poor under various schemes. (3) Private Citizens information will be easily available to intelligence agencies such as NATGRID, IB, RAW as a result these cards will become the vehicle for the conspiracy for the suppression of traditional liberties of democratic self government. England, USA, Australia tried to enforce biometric cards but public protests forced governments to cancel it.                (4) National Identification Authority of India Bill 2010 is still not passed in the Indian Parliament and in spite Biometric enrolment for National Population Register (NPR) is being carried out under Citizenship Act 1955 and the Citizenship (Registration of Citizens and Issue of National Identity Cards) Rules 2003. There is no privacy of information under this law as against the Census Act that declares in section 15 “not open to inspection nor admissible in evidence.” (5) Citizenship Rules 2003 classify every individual and every “head of the family” as an informant, who will be penalized if every person in the household is not in the NPR or if the information is outdated. (6) Number becomes source of identity; caste is not enumerated. This gives ruling Brahmins weapons to rule and exploit mulnivasis and their resources. (7) UID transforms citizen into resident. Person who enumerates decides on residency of a particular person. If recorded as not resident then person becomes Stateless.


In February 2009, the Unique Identification (UID) Number project was set up within planning commission of India. In July 2009 Nandan Nilekani was appointed as the chairperson of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and sanctioned Rs 7 crores. In 2010 it was increased to 100 crores and in 2011 further hiked to 1,900 crores. Around 60 crores people in India are to be given UID. UIDAI does not make UID compulsory for citizens but goes about signing MoUs with different organizations like Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) to be “registrars” who may insist that their customers enroll on UID to receive continued service. Goa Government was first State in India to sign this MoU on 22nd April 2010 in the presence of Chief Minister Digambar Kamat. Kamat declared on July 15, 2011 that entire Goa will be covered under UID within four months; by mid-November 2011. 14 lakh people will be given UID number in 4 months.
UID is a conspiracy that is even dangerous than bomb blasts. This problem is of mulnivasi SC, ST, OBC and converted mulnivasi minorities in India. Nandan Nilekani is employed here as Kalam Kasai (slaughterer with pen) – an expression Jyotiba Phule used for Brahmins.  According to Waman Meshram, “Now the question comes as to why our people must be subjected to surveillance. It is because those who rule us are not mulnivasis. Because of this ruling brahmanical caste is insecure as to what the mulnivasis are doing and planning against Brahmins. Because of this they want to collate all the private information to put our people under surveillance. Just  like fish is caught through bait, UID cards is a bait of the ruling brahmanical caste to get access to the private information of the mulnivasi through computers stationed at a particular place without moving anywhere. This is a violation of fundamental rights. Ruling Brahmins have pushed 83 crore people below poverty line in hunger and semi-hunger.  In future situation that is emerging is even more dangerous and to face it we do not have any option other than nation-wide mass movement.”

Breached bund causes havoc in Mulgao

Mulgaon (Bicholim): A breached settling pond's embakement at Vedanta's Sesa Mining Corporation's Bicholim mine, wreked havoc in the village of Mulgao on Saturday morning, destroying horticultural plantations and agricultural fields and causing losses estimated at Rs. One Crore.


The gushing waters also washed away three locals who, luckily, survived; while mining silt has entered Xetrapal and Mahadev temples.
A major tragedy was averted as the incident, which occurred at 7.15 am, happened 4-5 minutes after a KTC bus carrying about 40 students passed along the road which waters inundated.


Sources said a massive water pump being used by the company over the last few days to pump out excess water, was also washed away.


Talathi Satyavan Naik, appointed by the Bicholim mamlatdar to asses the losses suffered, said, "Twenty horticulturists and farmers from Mulgao have suffered losses amounting to Rs 60 lakh, besides fields being damaged by mining silt". Bicholim Mamlatdar pramod Bhat, said, "A meeting of the villagers and mining company officials is convened for Monday at 10.30 am, to discuss the losses suffered and also to find out what precautionary measures were taken by the company to avert this incident." He added that the mining firm is "responsible for compensating the farmers".


M.K. Reddy, general manager, Sesa Resources, Bicholim mines, said in a press statement: On Saturday morning at Bicholim mine, due to heavy rainfall, bund of settling pond breached and water has entered adjoining areacanut plantation and paddy fields. The water has silted the adjoining fields.


There was no damage to any human or settlements. Company is taking adequate steps to repair the breach and other necessary precautionary measures on an immediate basis."


The three persons carried away by the waters are Shripad Raut, Rupesh Parab and Rajaram Parab. Shripad, who was washed about 100m away, was saved as he held onto a betelnut tree and remained there for over and hour. his brother Sakaram, who came looking for him, rescued him. Its rebirth for me...I was sure I was going to die. I was saved only because my brother reached me just as I began to lose the strength to hold unto the tree." the 60-60-year-old told STOL.


Rupesh and Rajaram saved themselves. All three were hospitalized at the Bicholim  primary health centre. While Rupesh and Rajaram were later discharged, Shripad was under observation till late evening.


Tulsidas Parab, a resident of Mulgao, said, "The mining company has destroyed the natural rocky layer which protected the water bodies. Our vodle tolle (lake) is totally silted and we have become victims of irresponsible mining activities."


Ramesh Gawas, an environmentalist from Bicholim, alleged, "Indiscriminate destruction of precious water bodies is rampant in Bicholim's mining areas. It is a criminal offense. Government should keep Mining companies consent to operate in abeyance since mining activities are not being carried on according to the mining plan."


This is the third major calamity at the mine in Mulgao. On june 13 1981, many places in the village were flooded causing considerable damage to property. In July 1991, four died, six were seriously injured and 1 farmers lost the output of their paddy fields due to a similar incident at the mine.


Health minister Vishwajit Rane, Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar, deputy collector Narayan Gad visited Mulgao and have assured necessary assistance to the affected villagers.

Bharat Mukti Morcha condemns Mulgao mine disaster

Bharat Mukti Morcha condemns Sesa Goa mining company owned by Vedanta registered on London stock exchange for the mining disaster at Mulgao, Bicholim, Goa, India on 16 July 2011 leading towards complete ruining of the village agriculture, water bodies besides injuring villagers caught up when the mining disaster unfolded villagers were trapped in the gushing water and mining debris.


Bharat Mukti Morcha advises Goa government to immediately arrest Sesa Goa company officials try criminally. Bharat Mukti Morcha also advises government of India to arrest Vedanta Director Anil Agrawal based in London. Indian government must immediately take steps to contact Interpool and arrest Anil Agrawal for criminal offense committed by Sesa Goa through Mulgao mining disaster.


Bharat Mukti Morcha is of the firm opinion that private mining companies in Goa are increasing their taste for mining disasters and hence it is very time that mining industry in Goa be totally nationalized. Last month there has been another fatal mining disaster at Kuddegal in Sanguem. This is second major mining disaster in Goa within one month.

Tribal Welfare outsourced!

Goa State Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes established under the Directorate of Tribal Welfare created one post of sweeper with pay scale to be outsourced. This is published in the official gazette series I No.11 on 16th June, 2011.


The Question is as to why employment in Government department outsourced to private parties? Surely this is a handy work of the those whom Jyotibha Phule described as "Kalam Kasai" meaning pen-slaughters. They are none other than Euresian brahmins who constitutes 3% of India's population but are ruling the country as conquerors. And they indeed are. In 1947 they captured power from Brahmins to rule over SC, ST, OBCs and those converted from these categories. They are doing so in collaboration with other upper castes like Vaishyas and Kshatriyas.


This notification demonstrates depth of slavery Brahmanical system has induced.

Goa Industrial Development Corporation re-constituted for more land grabs

Much known for its land grabs of mulnivasi people particularly tribal people Goa government has reconstituted Goa Industrial Development Corporation in exercise of the powers conferred under section 4 of the Goa Industrial Development Act, 1965. Notification is published in Government of Goa Official Gazette Series II No. 11 on 16th June 2011. The members include:

The activities of Goa IDC must be watched. All the lands taken from the mulnivasi people of Goa must be accounted for. Already large amount of Goa's mulnivasis including adivasis have been captured by brahmins through trickery of various sorts. The remaining land is being confiscated for industry including setting up of SEZ.

Goa Government constitute Tripartite Committee/Planning Authority to review Tribal Sub-plan implimentation

Goa Government has constituted Tripartite Committee/planning Authority to review implementation of Tribal Sub-Plan and also to suggest the measures to different line departments to ensure effective implementation of Tribal Sub-Plan. The committee is to meet twice a year. The is declared in the Official Gazette Series II No.14 on July 07, 2011  The members include:

Though this is result of hard of fight that led to the martydom of Manguesh Gaounkar and Dilip Velip who were burnt alive by the police-upper caste nexus in Balli, Quepem on May 25, 2011, it remains to be seen as to what extend this committee is effective considering brahmins are historic enemies of all the mulnivasis not just tribals and they are the once who has captured the State Bureaucracy, Judiciary, Executive as well as all the Political Parties. Two tribal enemies on this committee will have to struggle hard for success. It however looks very unlikely the both of them are the products of Poona Pact of 1932 between Gandhi and Ambedkar. 


Two tribal leaders of Goa Govind Gawde from Bandora, Ponda and Malu Velip of Barcem, Quepem are languishing in jail for over 20 days due to consensus amongst brahmins scattered around in political parties and judiciary. They have been charged under section 307 of Indian Penal Code for May 25 agitation in Balli, Quepem.


The brahmanical modus operandi is to form committees like this on one side and demoralize the tribal movement on the other side.

Brahminical and capitalist powers to review Goa's TCP Act

Elected members of the Goa Assembly has been rendered defunct in their of legislating. Goa Government has formed 11 member committee to review Goa, Daman and Diu Town and Country Planning Act 1974. It is notified in Official Gazette of Government of Goa on 30th June 2011 (Series II No. 13). This committee is complete brahmanical hijack of Goa and its mulnivasi people. The constitution of this committee attains significance because of promotion of increasing urbanisation by taking away the agricultural lands of the mulnivasi people. From the membership of the above committee it is very clear that the brhamanical state in Goa is all out to further strengthen its its power and position.
