Vanxim villagers file police case against Bamon Bruno Ferrao, chase him out of island

Vanxim villagers today 10th November 2011 filed police complaint against Bruno Ferrao for threatening women in Vanxim island. The complaint is filed at Old Goa police station after the head on confrontation against Ozone group staff led by its manager Bamon Bruno Ferrao by Vanxim villagers mostly women organised as Bharat Mukti Morcha and Ilha de Vanxim Association.

At around 10.00 am today morning Ozone group sent in their team of four agents including Bamon Bruno Ferrao to do survey work with instruments like tripod. Villagers asked them for their identiy. They had none. Then villagers asked for the permission from any of the Government authority. They had none.

Women of the village asked the agents to stop work on public road and go away. They refused and threatened women in case they do not move away. This angered the villagers. Sensing the angry mood of the villagers Bamon Bruno Ferrao got frightened and ran way into the nearby by house and locked himself inside causing panic to the students of embroidery classes. The house there after was emptied and locked after this incident.

The rest of the agents then began pleading to return back the tripod. Villagers refused. Bamon Bruno Ferrao (from Divar but currently staying in Merces) and rest of his agents from Karnataka then fled from Vanxim Island.

Villagers then went to Old Goa police station and filed complaint. The text of the complaint is as follows:

We the Mahilas of Ilha de Vanxim Association, Bharat Mukti Morcha went to ask following:
Who is your superior?
Who has sent in you'll here?
How can you'll come to our land (Vanxim) and do such activity?
When the cases of our entire village are going on in Deputy collector's court every 15  days who gave you'll this authority?
We asked for them for their ID card proof which they did not have.
We also asked of NOC of Panchayat. They did not have.


They got aggressive towards us and threatened us. So we took their instrument called tripod and kept with us. We will not give the instrument.


Our condition:
1. They must stop coming to Vanxim.
2. All of them must give Ilha de Vanxim Association Mahilas and Bharat Mukti Morcha apology letter.


Our Mahila's names Ms. Maggie Silveira, Anuradha Volvoikar, Deepika Tari, Swati Volvoikar.


The males present who threatened us are Bruno Ferrao, Sadanand, Manju and Narayanswamy.

Vanxim islanders wage vehement battle at Gram Sabha

Gram Sabha of Sao Mathias that was postponed last Sunday took place today 6th November 2011. 234 villagers from the revenue villages of Narva, Malar and Capao participated today. This Gram Sabha had attained importance for Bharat Mukti Morcha because of ongoing agitation against RP-2021 showing over 35,000 square meters of Vanxim land under survey number 8 as settlement zone. This land is a rivulet connected to Mandovi river and has two sluice gates, mangroves and mud flats.


Deputy Sarpanch Tulsidas Kundaikar was asked as to whether Panchayat members including Sarpanch had inspected the survey number before declaring it as settlement zone.Kundaikar replied that Panchayat members including Sarpanch had not inspected the survey number 8. Panchayat were grilled as to why Panchayat had not filed objections to the same. Kundaikar said that objections would be filed if the Gram Sabha members desires so.


Entire Sao Mathias Panchayat is Eco-Zone III and no construction of resorts/hotels are permitted as per the provisions in the Regional plan. 


Panchayat was asked as to whether there was any proposal from any company for Vanxim. Deputy Sarpanch responded that there was no proposal of any project in Vanxim with Panchayat. Yet he asked people to vote on the imaginary project. First the people who opposed the project were asked to stand up. 84 people stood up. Then people who supported the project were asked to stand up. 45 people stood up. Remaining 105 people did not support any side.


Though this voting proved majority of those people voted against the project the deputy Sarpanch manipulated the results by including those neutral 105 into the category of those supporting the project. This manipulated result was shared with media for further brahmanical manipulation.


And the results was there for every one to see. One of the TV channels in Goa - Prudent Media- owned by mining company and bamon ran three totally misleading newslines soon after the Gram Sabha: 1. Majority of Vanshikars support resort project at Vanxim (This is not true as majority of Vanshikars are opposed to the project and voting in the Panchayat was not restricted only to Vanxim people in spite of public demand to do so.) 2. Gram Sabha gives green signal to the project (This statement is wrong as in the voting 84 people opposed the project and only 45 supported it. 105 remained without voting. Kundaikar interpreted those remaining without voting as support for the project and prudent media headlined it!) 3. Some villagers still oppose (It is majority of the villagers of Vanxim still oppose).


Vanxim struggle of mulnivasi people against bamon raj is strong and growing. No amount of false propaganda of brahmanical media will succeed. Bharat Mukti Morcha supports this struggle. Jai Mulnivasi!

Vanxim Island survey number 8 is a water body, Regional Plan marks it for hotel and Resort only

The above pictures are of survey number 8 of Vanxim island in Sao Mathias panchayat sold by Goa Archbishop Bamon Felipe Neri Ferrao to Bamon Mahandra Gaunekar. Villagers are left to battle in various authorities in Goa. On November 6, 2011, Sunday is a village Gram Sabha that is going to deliberate on this. Vanxim battle is freedom struggle from Bamon Raj that is cause of every misery in Goa and India too. Bharat Mukti Morcha condemns police cases against Vanxim defenders

Bharat Mukti Morcha strongly condemns filing of criminal cases against Vanxim villagers belonging to Bharat Mukti Morcha. Bharat Mukti Morcha condemns Sao Mathias Sarpanch Ludvina Athaide for filing of police cases against Vanxim villagers protesting against golf course in their island. According to the information published on 31st october 2011 in Times of India Sarpanch has filed police cases against  Maggie Silviera, Neetyanand Volvoikar, Amrut Volvoikar, Sadanand Tari, Mohan Volvoikar and Eulogio D'Mello at Old Goa Police station. These people are leading freedom movement against bamon raj symbolized in Vanxim through bamon Mahendra Gaunekar and Bamon Archbishop Felipe Neri Ferrao who sold Vanxim island.


The above named people are directly connected with Bharat Mukti Morcha as well as Ilha de Vanxim Association. Maggie Silveira is Bharat Mukti Morcha Mahila Aghadi Goa State President. Filing cases against these people by Sarpanch Athaide has further intensified involvement of Bharat Mukti Morcha. They have already been honored as freedom fighters with these cases in Goa's history.


These villagers along with many other has been to the announced Gram Sabha on 30th October 2011. These villagers saw that there was no place in the Panchayat to accommodate large number of people specially those who came to the Panchayat to oppose the project. They asked Sarpanch and Secretary to hold the gram sabha outside in the open so as to accommodate the gathered public. They both refused and then announced that this gram sabha will not going be held. Agitated public refused go away without conduct of the scheduled Gram Sabha.


At this juncture gathered public demanded resignation of Sarpanch as well that of other panchayat members. Public then told secretary to write minutes and public will go ahead with gram sabha and one of the Gram Sabha members will chair this meeting.


Panchayat itself called public for the gram sabha and Panchayat did not make any arrangement for accommodating them. Panchayat members including Sarpanch had acted in very irresponsible manner. People's protest was directed towards this irresponsibility of the Sao Mathias Panchayat. It is matter of deep concern that Sarpanch has chosen to file criminal cases against the people who came to the Panchayat to exercise their democratic rights.


The action of Sarpanch is a clever conspiracy to subvert democracy and establish brahmanocracy - brahmanical rule. If the members of Panchayat respect democracy then its Sarpanch must withdraw these police cases filed at Old Goa Police Station.


According to the sources at Old Goa police station these cases against Vanxim people are filed at the behest of bamon Mahendra Gaunekar in order to create fear. Bamon Gaunekar has become desperate after his earlier pressure tactics of splitting the Vanxim villagers through money failed as villagers united to his domination of Vanxim through construction of various projects like golf courses, hotels, resorts, private marinas inside the water bodies and re-name the Vanxim island as Ozone island.

Waman Meshram jolts bamon raj at Goa public meeting

Bharat Mukti Morcha National president Waman Meshram addressed a public meeting in the Goa's capital city of Panjim on October 29, 2011. Meeting in the centre of city in Azad Maidan was attended by nearly 500 people inside the maidan and numerous other people in the heart of city. Waman Meshram in his speech highlighted as to how our country is still under the foreign colonial rule of brahmins. In 1947 one foreigner called British left India and another foreigner called Brahmin took over and they rule till date. He further went on to elaborate as to how mulnivasi people of India are held captives by Brahmanism powers. He explained detail politics behind not carrying out of caste based census of OBC in India. He held Brahmanism responsible for depriving development of OBC people.


Waman Meshram examined the role of each of the Prime Ministers of India in suppressing cased based census cutting party lines. He outlined the agitation program of mobilization for liberation of India and appealed to all the mulnivasi people to join in the struggle in large numbers. He said currently our country though ruled by Manmohan Singh the decision not hold caste based census was taken by Bengali brahmin Pranab Mukherjee.


Earlier Waman Meshram was accorded warm welcome with a song 'Bharat Mukti Morcha' composed and Choreographed by Maggie Silveira, President of Bharat Mukti Morcha Mahila Aghadi  and sang by children from Vanxim island. Entire gathering came alive with the song and participants waved Bharat Mukti Morcha flags in air.


Number of people connected with movements also spoke during the meeting. Devidas Gaonkar, Francis Fernades, Hanumant Porob, Rama Velip, Sebastian Rorigues, Maggie Silveira, Fr.Bismark Dias, Xavier Fernandes spoke on the occasion. Kashinath Mayekar was present on the dias.


Devidas Gaonkar spoke about how Goa government has betrayed SC,ST,OBC people by non-implementation of Forest Rights Act. Francis Fernandes dealt with land reforms in Goa and how Brahmanism interests has sabotaged the entire program. Hanumant Porob spoke about the how mining has ruined environments are people are forced to struggle for their livelihood. Rama Velip exposed brahmanical links in mining destruction of Goa. Maggie Silveira criticized Goa government on introduction of Aadhaar card (UID). She said it is worse than a bomb blast in its impact of taking private information and recording it in centralized computerized system. She criticized Digambar Kamat for this project. Sebastian Rodrigues criticized Brahmanism forces for looting of Goa through mining and creating burden of public debt of Rs.631 crore. He questioned as to why Goa that generated Rs.28 lakh crore in last financial year though mining should have public debt at all. Fr.Bismark Dias criticized Goa Archbishop Felipe Neri Ferrao for selling of Vanxim island.


Maggie Silveira in her second round of speech launched scathing attack on Brahmanical system that has sold Vanxim island. 'Not a chair will be allowed to be parked in Vanxim island', Maggie thundered warning to Bamon Mahendra Gaunekar. Gaunekar is planning to take over Vanxim island and has got Goa government to get village survey number 8 consisting of water bodies as settlement zone for 'hotel and resort only'.


People from far and wide traveled to Panjim for the meeting and Brahmanism hold in Goa got jolted. It was for the first time that such a public meeting was being held in the heart of Panjim boldly criticizing brahmanism.

Bharat Mukti Morcha is currently involved in number struggles involving defense of mulnivasi people. There are some financial costs involved to carry on these activities. Cutting into sanctuary buffer zones to pamper mining industry

Bharat Mukti morcha strongly condemns the attempts by Goa government to reduce the buffer zone from 10 kilometers to zero kilometers. This is done in order to satisfy mining industry by sacrificing the entire life support systems including water and forest.


Bharat Mukti Morcha also condemns Goa Chief Town planner S.T.Puttaraju for his defense of 0 kilometer buffer zone saying that it is in the interest of the tribal people. For the protection of tribal people there is forest rights Act 200 in place. If this act is implemented then tribal people's rights are protected. Goa government have been causing innumerable delays in implementation of forest rights act. In fact the talukas of Sanguem, Darbandora, Pernem and Sattari are totally kept away from the implementation of Forest Rights Act 2005.


Chief town planner is bluffing and creating a shield to protect mining industry. This is a brahmanical plot to destroy Goa forever and make Goa's mulnivasi people homeless, vagabonds. Baman Raj of Raj is responsible for this state of affairs and it must be made to  came to an end.

Fresh threats to Goa unit Bharat Mukti Morcha Mahila Aghadi Chief Maggie Silveira

Today 26^th October 2011 Maggie Silveira, President of Ilha de Vanxim Association received fresh threats to her life from two anonymous callers. At 7.30 am today she was contacted on her landline and asked to come to starred hotel for a lunch party for speaking so boldly to Chief Town Planner S. T. Puttaraju yesterday. They said they are lawyers who are admire Maggie Silviera and are involved in behind the scene operations.

Maggie Silveira is also the of President Bharat Mukti Morcha Mahila Aghadi, Goa Unit, an organization dedicated towards overthrowing Baman Raj in our country.

Maggie replied to them that you’ll may be lawyers of bamon Mahendra Gaunekar but she is too busy to come for any party. She said her priority is a Bharat Mukti Morcha Public meeting on 29^th October 2011 followed by the village gram sabha on 30^th October 2011.

She told them on 29^th there is mega public meeting and she will expect more calls. Not forgetting the gram sabha which is on 30^th October and she expects even more call. These calls will not surprise Maggie at all nor do they mean anything to her.

RPG-2021: Facilitation centre brahmanical ploy to keep away public participation

Goa's Town and Country planning department's facilitation centre announced on October 22, 2011 in  local dailies of Goa is primarily meant to keep away the public participation. Only the members of Panchayats and members of village panchayat planning committees of RP-2021 are included. The rest of the public with grave complaints against the RP-2021 are left with no scope of participation in this process.

This is utter disgusting and deserves to be rejected at once. Suppressing public participation at this stage makes mockery of all principles of democracy. Chief Town Planner is acting only diplomatically with high diplomacy.  RP-2021 at current stage is laden with land scams for hotels, resorts, mining etc. 10 meters and 15 meters roads for villages is highly objectionable. The time is now. Let us fight this menace.

If public is not allowed to correct it then it is best that Bamon Raj must be abolished  fully. With the effect of Poona pact of 1932 many Panchayat members have become slaves of the bamon raj. They cease to represent public.

Bharat Morcha Morcha is of the opinion that this facilitation centre be opened for all the member of public in Goa and not just for Panchayat members and members of village panchayat planning committees.

Chief Town Planner questioned on Vanxim water bodies being declared for hotels/resorts only

Goa's Chief Town planner S.T. Puttaraju was questioned yesterday 25 October 2011  over the declaration of Vanxim water bodies in survey no 8 as settlement zone for hotel/resort only. Bhatat Mukti Morcha and Ilha de Vanxi Association combined met the Chief town planner and questioned him on this scandal of his department.

After brief resistance Chief town planner was compelled to take note after being shown photographic evidence of  survey number 8 which is not a piece of land which is full a water body, a rivulet declared as settlement zone in RP-2021 for hotel and resort project only. Delegation led by Bharat Mukti Morcha's Mahila Aghadi chief Maggie Silveira condemned the Chief Town Planner as well as the Chief Minister Digambar Kamat for this act without doing ground level inspection and demanded immediate De-notification of the Regional Plan 2021 concerning Vanxim island.

Chief Town planner said he is going invite Ilha de Vanxim Association for a meeting at facilitation centre. No date of the meeting was given. 

This entire development in TCP resembles desperate attempts by brahmanical forces to take over land of the mulnivasi people. Mulnivasis of Goa are increasingly becoming aware of the multilayer Brahmanical conspiracy and are gearing up to join forces with mulnivasis in rest of India and work hand in hand to overthrow brahmanical yoke forever. Battles are intense indeed and your support is crucial.
