Subject: Regarding the submission of the joint survey report conducted for the construction of a commercial port within the jurisdiction of Tonka-1 and Tonka-2 in Kasarkod village, Honnavar Taluk.
Reference: Survey report submitted by the Assistant Executive Engineer, Public Works Department (PWD), Honnavar.

With reference to the subject and reference mentioned above, regarding the construction of a commercial port within the jurisdiction of Tonka-1 & Tonka-2 in Kasarkod village of Honnavar Taluk, Uttara Kannada District, a joint survey was conducted on 26-02-2025 by the Port Department, NHAI, Panchayat, Revenue Department, Survey Department, and Police Department concerning houses and other properties situated within a 35-meter distance from the high tide line of the sea.
The Assistant Executive Engineer, Public Works Department (PWD), Honnavar, has submitted this report. (Copy attached).
Since this issue is being discussed in every meeting chaired by the Honorable Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, you are requested to review this matter on a priority basis and initiate urgent action.
