Valmiki the author of Ramayana, was a Brahmin and not of Scavenger Community; a historic judgement by a judge, Kaprutala District, Punjab - A debate.
The judge of Kapurtala District, Punjab has given a historic judgement stating that the author Valmiki of Ramayana was a Brahmin. He has no relation with Shudras or Ati-Shudras. That is why there is no question of hurting the feelings of the people fighting the case. The organization of Punjab Valmiki communities could not prove thier case that Valmiki belonged to Scavenger Community. This historic judgement is very important. It is very much essential to spread this fact all over India amongst people belonging to Valmiki Communities so that proper awareness is created amongst mulnivasis leading to debates and discussions.
