Part 4: Revolution and counter revolution in modern India

Waman Meshram, National President, Bharat Mukti Morcha

History, a heritage

If Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar was involved in the Gandhi led freedom struggle then he would have never said that “in slavery whose words we cannot tolerate, in freedom we will have to swallow their kicks.” The Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar that wrote in ‘Bhahiskrut Bharat’ that “in slavery whose words we cannot tolerate, in freedom we will have to swallow their kicks” can this man get involved in freedom struggle? That’s why Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar was involved in freedom struggle, then the believers of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar answered that, “no, he was involved”. This is wrong and that is also wrong. The allegation that Arun Shourie made is not new allegation.

When Babasaheb was alive, then during his lifetime this allegation was made against him. This evidence is available in written form, that’s why we people have to carry on our movement, then the people who wish to carry on their independent movement they wish that they should have their own ideology, separate objective and even separate analysis of history. Then you can deploy and use history as an asset in present times.

In present times you have to deploy and use history as an asset because history is the biggest heritage and heritage is the biggest capital of those carrying on the movement. Lots of people do not understand that history is very big heritage, and just like history if we analyze it then definitely in order to march forward in present and awaken the present new generation, youth, in order to prepare them psychologically its use and deployment is possible.
