Part 14: Revolution and counter revolution in modern India

Waman Meshram, National President, Bharat Mukti Morcha

Betrayal with Constitution

First few lines of the Indian Constitution (Article 1) reads “India, that is Bharat”, this is so because Dr.Ambedkar was aware that Brahmins will translate ‘India’ as ‘Hindustan’. That’s the reason Babasaheb himself gave translation.  In the second sentence in Article 13(2) he wrote that ‘The State shall not make any law which takes away or abridges the rights conferred by this part and any law made in contravention in this clause shall, to  the of contravention be void.’ The Part referred here is of Fundamental Rights. Law in contravention to Fundamental Rights are void in the past and void in the future, that’s why for them Constitution has become a headache.  Constitution is a document of Revolution and naturally there must have been lots of work to destroy and break this Constitution and certainly there has been.

That’s why when the time came about of Golden Jubilee of Indian Constitution they did not organise Golden Jubilee celebrations. By forming the commission to review the Constitution they carried on the betrayal with the Constitution. This was their way of celebrating golden jubilee of the Constitution. This is so because commission was the program of betrayal. Centenary celebrations of 15th August was carried for the entire year and our people were told that every person can hoist tri-color on their houses, hoist it the way you want to hoist. There was no code for this. But still people did not hoist tri-colour as they were still not aware that the Country is witnessing 50 years of its Freedom. People did not feel that they were free because they were thinking that there was no difference between earlier and current times. Efforts to break the Constitution took place.
